I am a freelance Director of Photography. I live in Queenstown, and travel throughout NZ and the world filming a broad variety of subjects. Lately I have found a really enjoyable balance between commercials, documentaries and some small drama pieces.

I started out as a Camera Assistant working for DP’s such as Russell Boyd, Andrew Lesnie, Zack Snyder, Geoffrey Simpson and many others. Spending eight years working on hundreds of hours of TV, Commercials and Film. I worked my way up from being a camera assistant to DP and Second Unit DP on some of the larger commercials and films.

I have been shooting for broadcast, film and corporate projects since the mid 1990’s, and own a camera and equipment hire facility in Queenstown.  I have shot extensively for local and international clients, from small local productions through to film and advertising for major International Corporation.

As a Queenstown Cameraman I work extensively throughout the Queenstown and Wanaka region on a large variety of projects. I also shoot frequently in Auckland and Wellington and I have an excellent team of lighting assistants and camera assistants that I work with nationwide.

I am experienced with most camera systems. I shoot extensively with HD camera equipment, and I have a solid understanding of post production workflows and techniques.

However, I really just love making things look amazing, while still telling a wonderful story.
